Nikolette "Niki" Mazzoula

Hey everyone! If you don’t know me my name is Nikolette (Niki) Mazzuola and I am the SDSU ASCE Student Chapter President. I am very excited to lead our chapter this year and am looking forward to meeting so many new members and seeing you all grow! I am originally from Stockton, California and moved to San Diego in 2015 to pursue Civil Engineering at State. Growing up I knew I couldn’t live a day without math and wanted to do something that affected so many people. In the third grade I decided I wanted to be a civil engineer because I wanted to have an impact on infrastructure design and safety. I am thankful I held onto that passion and have been able to bring it to our student chapter. As president I am able to not only oversee all of the chapter operations but also encourage innovation in our chapter and work to help all of our members achieve their goals. ASCE has been the foundation to my engineering career and has provided me with confidence in my abilities and given me the best life-long friends that I could ask for.
