- The City of Walnut Creek is looking for two (or more) summer engineering interns in civil/transportation engineering to assist the Engineering Division of the City’s Public Works Department with a variety of projects and tasks like:
- Prepare and review plans and specifications for City projects, such as streets, traffic signals, bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, storm drains, green infrastructure,SEAand other public works projects through a sustainability lens.
- Complete traffic engineering tasks in operations, planning, and design, signal timing, and community outreach. All with a focus on traffic safety and active transportation.
- Assist with the engineering review of current development projects. Intern tasks can include reviewing cost estimates and material specifications for construction.
