My name is Jesus and I decided to study Civil Engineering mainly because I love bridges and I wanted to help build them. The Queensboro Bridge in New York is probably my favorite bridge. Anyways, I joined ASCE mainly because I was not as familiar with the field as I wanted to be (and a lot of my friends recommended I join). After participating and going to PWSC (our conference) I knew this club was something I wanted to help grow and continue to succeed. Now, only my second year being a member of ASCE, I was elected to be webmaster and I could not be more excited for all the events we have planned. One of the best things about ASCE is the sense of family you feel from all the members. Countless members will go out of their way to help you both in and outside the organization. If there is any doubt in your mind about joining ASCE, whomever may be reading this, know that I GUARANTEE that you will not regret joining.
