My name is Chris and I decided to study Civil Engineering because when was in Middle School I was obsessed with Sim City 4 and I use to spend hours creating my own virtual city. I decided to join ASCE because I heard about all of the hands on activities that ASCE participates in during the Pacific Southwest Conference (PSWC). In school you never really get to do practical engineering work but at PSWC you have the option to design streets using AutoCad, plan and build a steel bridge, or create a canoe from concrete. I am currently the Outreach chair and I hope to participate in philanthropy events and community outreach events that will get the youth in San Diego interested in Engineering. On my spare time I like being outdoors, watching movies, or traveling.
